You are standing in an area that once defined the industrial backbone of Pantin. Along this stretch of the canal, massive structures were built in the early 1930s to serve as grand storage houses for grain and flour. These buildings, designed with a blend of modernist and Art Deco influences, relied on pneumatic equipment to pull cargo directly from barges into towering silos. After the decline of the canal's industrial role, these concrete giants fell into neglect, turning into hollowed-out monuments to a vanished way of life.
