Square Vaucanson 'Zen'

The Square Vaucanson is defined by a bright red, spiraling sculpture that anchors its center. This park occupies land that held industrial manufacturing facilities for decades. When the factories closed and the neighborhood transitioned into a residential area, planners installed this public garden to provide a green core. A local artist designed the central piece to mirror the mechanical history of the site. It stands today as a place where neighborhood children play under the shadow of its twisted, painted steel curves.
