For centuries, this building served as a primary tavern for Heidelberg University students. In nineteen oh two, a student duel occurred inside the main room, leaving behind a scarred wooden table that survived generations of renovation. Members of the student fraternities traditionally gathered here to debate politics and exchange insults, transforming the tavern into a stage for long standing academic rivalries.
