Eitaro Sohonpo Nihonbashi Main Store

The Eitaro Sohonpo storefront wears a dark, wood-paneled facade topped by a traditional tiled roof that stands apart from the surrounding glass and steel. This building serves as the headquarters for a confectionery business that began on the nearby Nihonbashi bridge in eighteen fifty-seven. A street vendor named Eitaro Hosoda sold sugar-dusted treats there, eventually settling into this permanent location. His signature product, a simple bean-paste sweet called Amanatto, remains the shop's primary offering today.
