Bab Boujloud

cultural

Bab Boujloud stands out for its distinct blue tiles on the side facing the city, which contrast sharply with the green tiles on the exterior. This gate serves as the primary entrance to the Fes-Medina. Although the original medieval gate stood nearby for centuries, this current structure was built in nineteen thirteen by French colonial architects. They designed it to mimic the grand archways of the Almohad dynasty, allowing heavy traffic to enter the labyrinthine streets of the old city with ease.
