The Fenix Food Factory occupies a massive, slate-gray warehouse that stretches along the edge of the Maashaven harbor. This building once served as a storage shed for the Holland America Line, keeping goods dry before they were hoisted onto steamships bound for New York. Inside, the industrial framework of iron trusses remains exposed above stalls selling local cheeses, craft beers, and roasted coffee. A shipping container perches on the roof, and the floor bears the deep, uneven scars of heavy cargo pallets.
