Three glass towers rise together from a single base, shifting their alignment as if they are sliding past each other. This is The Rotterdam, designed by Rem Koolhaas and his firm, OMA. It stands as a vertical city, housing offices, apartments, and a hotel within its stacked volumes. When construction finished in twenty thirteen, it held the title of the largest building in the Netherlands. Its silhouette remains a defining marker of the city skyline, visible from across the river for miles.
