Cruise Terminal Rotterdam

other

The Cruise Terminal Rotterdam sits on the Wilhelminapier, defined by its long, low profile and a flat roof that stretches toward the water. This building served as the primary departure point for the Holland America Line starting in nineteen forty-six. Thousands of emigrants gathered here to board ships headed for North America, carrying their lives in leather suitcases. While the cruise ships still dock at the quay today, the main hall now hosts events, leaving the echoes of those departures in the steel trusses.
