Monument als hippies d'Eivissa

monument

The Monumento a los Hippies sits at the entrance to the town of Ibiza, identifiable by a large, geometric structure featuring several human figures cast in bronze. Commissioned in nineteen seventy-two, it commemorates the bohemian community that settled on the island during the sixties. Artist Ferran Soriano crafted these figures to capture the spirit of freedom and creativity that defined that era. The local government installed the piece to anchor the memory of that unconventional movement within the island's evolving urban landscape.
