This structure originally sat on the corner of Great Bridgewater Street and Oxford Street until nineteen twenty-eight. At that time, engineers carefully dismantled the building piece by piece and moved it to its current location to make room for road widening. Workers labeled each beam and timber to ensure the pub maintained its distinct Tudor appearance upon reassembly.
