The Friends' Meeting House features a heavy, dark red brick facade with tall, arched windows that interrupt the standard office lines of the Civic Quarter. This building replaced the original meeting place on the same site, which was destroyed during the Manchester Blitz of nineteen forty. Architect Hubert Worthington designed the current structure, opening it in nineteen fifty-nine. It provides a quiet space for the local Quaker community, continuing a tradition of assembly that has persisted on this plot for over two hundred years.
