Its narrow, triangular brick facade makes the structure appear as if it were sliced by a blade to fit the acute angle of the street corner. John Bittles opened this pub in eighteen sixty-eight, and the bar remains famous for its collection of portraits featuring Irish writers and sports figures lining the walls, often squeezed into the cramped, wood-paneled interior.
