Far East Plaza features a distinct facade of faded, painted concrete with arched, red-framed windows that break the stark vertical lines of the building. Built in nineteen eighty, it replaced a collection of older structures to serve as an indoor shopping center for the neighborhood. When the developer, George Tsao, finished the project, he filled the upper floors with professionals while dedicating the ground floor to small, family-owned shops that catered to local residents and their daily needs.
