Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles

The Millennium Biltmore Hotel occupies an entire block, defined by its massive Italian Renaissance style facade and the series of arched windows stretching along the base. When it opened in nineteen twenty-three, it was the largest hotel west of Chicago. Executives at the Biltmore hired architect Schultze and Weaver to craft a space for high-stakes dealmaking, and they included eight ballrooms to host the city's most elite gatherings. In nineteen twenty-seven, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held their founding banquet here.
