The Town and Country Center is a low-slung complex of steel, glass, and desert stone tucked behind a screen of eucalyptus trees. Architect Paul Williams designed these offices in nineteen forty-eight, using a zigzag layout to ensure every tenant had a private entrance and a view of the internal courtyard. It was once the center of Palm Springs business life, where local elites held meetings in the dappled shade of the central fountain before heading out for cocktails at the nearby bars.
