Walk of the Stars Palm Springs

The Walk of the Stars Palm Springs features over four hundred gold-colored stars embedded directly into the public sidewalks. Unlike the famous version in Hollywood, this tribute honors people who have contributed to the desert community or the arts in general. Frank Sinatra received the first star in nineteen ninety-two. Local committees choose new recipients to be added to the concrete, often resulting in small ceremonies where the honoree appears in person to celebrate their name becoming a permanent fixture of the downtown pavement.
