Built in nineteen oh five for a wealthy socialite, the house transitioned into a diplomatic space after the Soviet Union collapsed and Uzbekistan gained independence. Diplomats filled the rooms with ikat textiles and ornate wood carvings, but the original heavy oak doors and grand staircase remain. It serves as a sharp contrast to the modernist office buildings scattered across the neighborhood.
