Larz Anderson House

The Larz Anderson House features a limestone facade with a prominent central balcony supported by heavy stone brackets. Built in nineteen oh five for a diplomat and his heiress wife, this mansion served as a stage for the city's most elaborate social gatherings. During the nineteen thirties, the Andersons hosted dinners where guests consumed upwards of thirty courses, each paired with a specific wine. Today, the Society of the Cincinnati maintains the residence, keeping the gilded ballroom preserved exactly as it appeared then.
