The Union Station Nashville Yards, Autograph Collection

The limestone facade of Union Station rises above the street with a high, pointed clock tower and stone carvings of faces peering down from the arches. Built in nineteen hundred, the building served as a bustling rail terminal for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. Passengers once crowded the waiting room beneath a barrel-vaulted ceiling covered in stained glass panels. The trains stopped pulling into the shed decades ago, and the terminal now houses a hotel that preserves the original architecture of the main hall.
