Symphony Square

Symphony Square is a cluster of five limestone buildings huddled at the corner of Red River and Eleventh Street. The oldest structure, the eighteenth-century era Jeremiah Hamilton House, once sat several blocks away before a 1970s renovation crew moved it stone by stone to this site. These buildings served as the headquarters for the Austin Symphony Orchestra for decades. They turned a collection of abandoned, dilapidated storefronts into a rehearsal and performance venue that anchored the revitalization of the city's downtown.
