Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia

The neon lights of the Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia glow at all hours of the day and night. Pete and Cruz Cortez opened the business in nineteen forty-one as a tiny three-table cafe for workers at the nearby produce market. Pedro Cortez initially traded his services as a waiter to pay for the rent, and the kitchen ran on recipes from his mother. Today, the walls hold hundreds of framed photographs of patrons and celebrities who have visited over the decades.
