The Oge House displays a distinctive pale pink stucco facade and a wide, wrap-around veranda on the second floor. Louis Oge, a French immigrant and cattle rancher, commissioned the mansion in nineteen oh one. During the Second World War, the United States government used the property as a military residence for high-ranking officers stationed at nearby Fort Sam Houston. Today, it operates as a bed and breakfast, retaining the original hardwood floors and antique fixtures from its years as a private residence.
