The Chamber Room Espresso and Brew Bar occupies the ground floor of what was once the Cairns Customs House. Its tall, arched windows and heavy masonry facade reflect the serious business of trade that defined the city at the turn of the twentieth century. While goods and ships once cleared through these stone walls, the space now clears room for local coffee roasts. The original high ceilings keep the interior cool, mirroring the design choices intended to soothe weary sailors in the nineteen twenties.
