Saint Monica's Cathedral

religious

Saint Monica's Cathedral features fourteen massive stained glass windows that span the entire length of the building. These windows depict the history of the creation, spanning the beginning of the world through to the modern day. Bishop John Heaps commissioned these panels in the late nineteen sixties to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea. They stand as a memorial to the peace that followed that conflict, capturing the light of the tropical sun in deep blues and reds.
