The Jules Collins Jewellery shopfront features a distinctive turquoise facade that stands out against the surrounding Cairns streetscape. Jules Collins spent years refining his craft as a master goldsmith before opening this workshop. He works primarily with Australian opals and South Sea pearls, sourcing stones directly from local miners and farmers. He designs every piece on-site, hammering and setting the metal by hand at a workbench tucked behind the storefront window. He creates his jewelry using techniques passed down through generations.
