The walls of Pearls Books n Music are lined with floor-to-ceiling shelves that hold stacks of secondhand paperbacks and vinyl records. This shop grew out of a collection started by a local resident who spent decades tracking down rare Australian pressings and out-of-print novels. When the owner decided to open the doors to the public, the inventory arrived all at once, filling the narrow space from the front counter to the back workroom. It remains a spot for digging through crates.
