Georgi Semerdzhiev's House (c.1930, arch. Stancho Belkovski & Ivan Danchov)

The house at number eighteen Shipka Street wears a sharp, white facade defined by its rounded corner balcony and clean, horizontal lines. Built in nineteen thirty by architects Stancho Belkovski and Ivan Danchov, the residence captures the early pulse of Bulgarian modernism. It served as the home for Georgi Semerdzhiev, a prominent revolutionary and figure in the resistance movement. His wife, Maria, once hid a printing press for clandestine leaflets inside the basement, keeping the metal machinery humming while the neighbors went about their day.
