The Mural de Charlot features a massive, monochrome silhouette of Charlie Chaplin, rendered in his iconic Tramp persona with a bowler hat and cane. It covers the entire side of a residential building in the heart of Sofia. Painted in two thousand and thirteen, the piece marked a local shift toward street art as a legitimate form of urban revitalization. The artist, Bozko, chose the silent film star to represent a sense of melancholy joy, peering down at the busy street below.
