Port of Montreal Tower

The Port of Montreal Tower stands sixty-five meters tall, its glass structure spiraling upward with a stark, angular silhouette against the riverfront. It occupies the former site of the Bickerdike Pier, serving as a gateway between the Saint Lawrence River and the city. In nineteen sixty-seven, the original grain silo that dominated this view held the record for the largest in the world. Today, the tower allows visitors to climb through its skeletal frame to see ships passing toward the Great Lakes.
