Plaza Cisneros

Three hundred slender white light towers rise from the ground at Plaza Cisneros, stretching into the Medellín sky like a forest of metal. This plaza sits where the old railway station once stood, marking a shift from the industrial grit of the twentieth century to a public space lit by modern engineering. When the towers were installed in two thousand five, they transformed a dark, dangerous transit hub into a grid of neon light that glows blue and white throughout the night.
