Chapel of St. Luke

The Chapel of Saint Luke in Ploče sits right on the edge of the water, identified by its simple stone facade and the small, weathered bell gable perched above the entrance. Built in the sixteenth century, this structure served as a religious anchor for local sailors who docked their vessels in the cove below. Legends claim that fishermen once placed their nets inside for safekeeping, praying to the saint to protect their livelihoods from the unpredictable Adriatic storms that frequently battered this rocky harbor.
