Twenty-two Rue Sleidan is a residence built of exposed sandstone with a distinct rounded turret that marks the corner of the structure. It dates to the German annexation of Alsace, when the neighborhood was designed to showcase imperial architectural styles for the growing administrative class. In nineteen thirty-six, the house served as the private residence of Albert Dollinger, a local official who became deeply involved in the complex, shifting politics of Strasbourg during the years leading up to the second world war.
