Le Bal Blomet sits behind a discreet green door on Rue Blomet. Originally a dance hall known as the Bal Nègre in the nineteen twenties, it served as a primary hub for Paris jazz culture. Famous figures like Josephine Baker danced here, and artists like Joan Miro and Robert Desnos filled the room nightly. The venue was shuttered for decades before a recent renovation brought it back to life as a jazz club, maintaining the same wooden floors and intimate, subterranean atmosphere.
