The Etoile du Nord is a restaurant tucked into the glass and steel architecture of the Gare du Nord. Its facade features clean, industrial lines that reflect the busy tracks just feet away. Chef Thierry Marx opened this space to bring high-end cooking into a transit hub, aiming to change the reputation of station dining. He installed an open kitchen where travelers watch their meals prepared. In the morning, commuters grab coffee here before rushing to catch their trains to northern France or London.
