Pavillon de l'eau

The Pavillon de l'eau wears a facade of elaborate ironwork and red brick, anchored by a prominent square tower that rises above the streetscape. Built in the late nineteenth century, this structure served as a pumping station for the city of Paris. It pulled water directly from the Seine to supply the neighborhood. Today, the building houses a center dedicated to water management and environmental education, where visitors gather to learn about the hidden infrastructure that keeps the city running day after day.
