The Cafe des Deux Moulins features a prominent red storefront and two spinning ceiling fans that define its street-level profile. It sits on the corner of Rue Lepic, named for the two historic windmills that once ground wheat and stone on the hill above. In two thousand one, the cafe served as the primary workplace for the title character in the film Amelie. The production crew repainted the interior to suit the movie’s warm color palette, and those colors remain today.
