Le Trabendo

Le Trabendo sits tucked inside one of the iconic scarlet-red structures known as follies that dot the Parc de la Villette. Designed by architect Bernard Tschumi, these vivid buildings were intended to inject a sense of playful, deconstructivist energy into the sprawling landscape. While the park is famous for its grander cultural institutions, this specific building serves as an intimate, high-energy counterpoint. The venue first opened its doors in nineteen ninety-three under the name Hot Brass, before rebranding to its current title in the year two thousand, a name borrowed from an album by the French band Les Negresses Vertes.
