Les Ateliers Romarin

other

The storefront of Les Ateliers Romarin features a bright, hand-painted sign set against deep blue woodwork, distinguishing it from the surrounding gray stone buildings of the Capucins neighborhood. This workshop serves as a sanctuary for traditional leatherworking in an area once dominated by silk weaving. Inside, owner Marcelle Veyron keeps a collection of iron tools passed down from her grandfather. She refuses to use electric cutters, insisting the slower pace of manual work preserves the unique character of the hides she shapes.
