Katy's Garage features a bright yellow facade and a weathered, rusted tram carriage permanently parked on its roof. It began as a small auto repair shop in the nineteen nineties, serving local mechanics before shifting into a makeshift bar. During the chaotic years following German reunification, the owner pulled old furniture off the street and invited musicians to play among the car parts. The tram on the roof arrived years later, hauled up there by a crane to mark the changing identity of the neighborhood.
