Bottoms Up

The Bottoms Up bar in Dresden features a distinct, weathered facade that sets it apart from the surrounding residential architecture of the Äußere Neustadt. This spot occupies the ground floor of a building that survived the intense bombing raids of nineteen forty-five. While most of the city around it underwent massive reconstruction, the bar retains a grit and atmosphere that residents often point to as a relic of the neighborhood’s counter-cultural shift during the late twentieth century.
