The Nam Soon Church stands out in Tiretti with its plain, cream-colored facade and the distinct Chinese characters painted above the entrance. This building served as the spiritual anchor for the Hakka Chinese community that settled in Kolkata during the late nineteenth century. It was established in eighteen twenty by a group of merchants who traveled from Guangdong Province. They gathered here to practice their faith and preserve their cultural traditions, maintaining this space as a private place of worship for nearly two centuries.
