AlHarizi St 4

other

The building at number four Al-Harizi Street in Rehavia features a distinct, rounded stone facade that breaks the sharp corners common to the neighborhood. Built in the late nineteen thirties, the house served as the residence of Akiva Ernst Simon, a prominent professor of pedagogy at the Hebrew University. Simon lived here while he advocated for a binational state, often debating neighbors who held opposing political views. The limestone structure remains a quiet example of the era when Central European intellectuals shaped this city.
