Seiryu Park sits on a narrow sliver of land between the Nakagawa River and the bustling streets of Nakasu. The park occupies the site of a former wooden bridge foundation, stretching long and thin toward the water. In the evenings, vendors set up their mobile stalls, or yatai, along the riverbank path, filling the air with the scent of simmering pork broth. This park provides the main stage for Fukuoka's open-air food culture, where diners sit elbow-to-elbow on small wooden stools.
