MU.SA - Museu das Artes de Sintra

museum

The MU.SA building stands out for its curved, cream-colored facade and the stark, modernist lines that cut through the greenery of Sintra. Originally built in the nineteen twenties as the Casino of Sintra, the structure functioned as a glamorous hub for high-society gamblers and performers. It later served as the town hall before its transformation into a municipal art museum. Today, the gallery walls hold pieces from the permanent collection of the Sintra government, featuring works from the twentieth century onwards.
