Bayt Al-Balad

museum

Bayt Al Balad features a facade defined by heavy, intricately carved wooden balconies known as roshan. These structures project over the street, painted in soft greens and blues to contrast with the weathered coral limestone walls. Originally the home of the Nassif family, the house served as a primary residence and a center for trade arrivals during the nineteenth century. King Abdulaziz Al Saud stayed here during his first visit to the city in nineteen twenty-five, making it a critical political site.
