The Future Creative Residence stands out for its facade of weathered coral stone and intricate, dark wooden latticework known as roshan. This historic house in Al Balad served as a traditional merchant residence for decades before its recent transformation into a hub for contemporary artists. In the nineteen eighties, the building sat abandoned as families moved to newer parts of Jeddah. Today, the residence preserves the architecture while providing studio space for creators to develop projects inspired by the history of the Red Sea coast.
