Elisa Pomar Ibiza

other

The storefront window at Elisa Pomar is crowded with heavy, ornate gold jewelry that looks centuries old. These are reproductions of traditional Ibizan adlib jewelry, pieces once worn by island brides to display their family wealth. Elisa Pomar preserves the designs her grandfather brought back from his travels in the nineteen twenties. While the heavy gold chains and intricate filigree work appear regal, they were originally crafted to be hung from a bride's neck as a portable dowry for her new life.
