The Pilotalekua is a narrow, open-air court defined by its sheer, vertical concrete side wall painted a uniform shade of ochre. It serves as a dedicated space for Basque pelota, specifically the wall-based variants that require immense precision and strength. Built in nineteen thirty-three, the court occupies a tight gap between dense residential buildings. Professional players and neighborhood amateurs regularly strike the hard rubber ball against the wall, creating a rhythmic, percussive thud that echoes throughout the entire block.
