The Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, known as FACT, occupies a glass-fronted building on Wood Street marked by a cluster of jagged, colorful structural fins along its exterior. It began as a video collective in nineteen eighty-eight, originally operating out of a small office to promote film and media arts. The building serves as a permanent gallery for digital installations, independent cinema screens, and a café. Local filmmaker Mike Stubbs served as its longtime director, curating experimental exhibitions here for over a decade.
