Raw hemp and flax arrived at the nearby docks, and workers processed these fibers into cordage for sailing ships navigating the Atlantic. Today, the space operates as a coffee shop and wine bar, maintaining the name of the original trade while housing espresso machines where ropes once hung to dry.
